So for this blog post I will be reviewing I love you colonel sanders a finger looking good dating simulator. This game is easily a 10/5 experience. It included a very interesting story line as it follows you in the shoes of a promising young culinary school student and your attempts to woo Colonel Sanders. While yes the game play is pretty linear it its a visual novel so that should be expected of it.Although it does throw twist and turns at you in small mini-game segments such as a turn based RPG mini-game.The Graphics fit right in with the rest of the game being just as wacky as the story itself. While the music track is less than desirable with no particular tunes sticking around in my mind after playing. The interface was also just your run of the mill visual novel. All in all This was a very fun game it isn't very long only being around an hour and a half so it is a great time killer and on top of that it is completely free.
5/5 definitely worth its price(Although it could be horrible and still be worth the price considering its free.)

This blog post is for my final exam for the class:Digital Design an Animation II.In this post I will be answering a number of questions that have been asked of me.The main thing that I learned from this class that I will takeaway would have to be the animations and the reason I believe it to be so is because I had the most fun doing the animation side of the spectrum rather than the other things we did in the class and because your brain is more inclined to remember the things you like the best I believe animation will stick the longest with me.Although I do recognize that the other things such as rigging,Lighting, and Cameras are important to good animations on top of having good models too.The most rewarding experience I felt I had in this class was probably meeting everyone.I have a hard time meeting and getting to know people outside of school so I tend to treasure to friends that I have due to the fact that I have few of them,Part of the reason I enjoy this class is because the class feels like on huge dysfunctional family and I'm happy to be part of it.The skills that I have learned in this class that will follow me into the future I hope will be most of them due to the fact that I've considered having a job in the gaming industry might not be the worst one to have. But above all of them I know that no matter which career I choose for myself the portfolio and professional conduct skills we learned in Unit 1:Portfolio and Professionalism will carry me the furthest. But personally deep down I hope to retain the people skills I've learned in this class as I've said before I'm no good at talking to people outside of school I have a hard time starting conversations and I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable person so I cant find many topics to talk about,But in here I somehow despite my faults was able to talk to others and make personal connections. That is why I hope above all else I can take my people skills I have learned outside of this classroom and into the real world.
summary .Above all else I will take animation and portfolio away from this class.I enjoyed animation the most and portfolio and professionalism I find the the most useful .I treasure the relationships and people skills I've learned in this class above everything else For the second blog post I wanted to talk a little bit about the detective pikachu movie. Now personally I thought the movie was really good(But given that a still play the game I talked about in the last one despite knowing its horrible I am prone to being blind by anything a series I like pumps out)and the reviews give it average scores which might not sound great but given that this is a video game adaptation it speaks wonders.Video game movies are historically horrible movies time and time again they fall flat on their heads and this time is one of the few exceptions. With the sonic movie rolling in later this year, assuming it won't be horrible can speak great things video game industry as a whole as given these two if they become successful at the box office can mean we can expect many more video game movies probably in the near future
For my first portfolio post I am gonna be doing a game review and the game I have chosen is Global Digimon Masters Online(Or GDMO for short). To make a long story short this game is pretty awful honestly in my opinion the only upsides are the fact that the game looks decent as well as it's a Digimon game, which there aren't too many of so finding one for free no less is pretty rare. But this game falls short in most major areas,The game-play itself is pretty boring essentially being only point and click and grind y as all hell. The game is also incredibly pay to win with most of the better creatures to collect being locked behind a paywall or by paying an incredible amount of ingame currency to players how payed real money to buy the items. All in all this game pretty much relies on childhood nostalgia and branding to get the player base it has as once you peel apart the shiny rapping on the game there is not much left.
I feel like the lighting is the most troubling thing I have had to work with this quarter.I say this because I have yet to rig,I quite like the animation side of the modeling, and I find cameras to be quite easy.I feel lighting is the hardest because I have problems working with the shadows most of the model I'm lighting always ends up darkened is certain spots which honestly doesn't look all that good and I still havent figured out a way to fix these problems the only way I know how to fix it is by using either a ton of lights or just using no lights at all. This is an example of one of my not so great lighting animations
This blog post is supposed to be about parametric modeling.Parametric modeling is about changing the parameters on your models to change their sizes and get them in different sizes and shapes how ever surface modeling allows you to edit the mesh and apply different textures to your shapes in order to make the look differently such as changing up the colors of the shape of what you are currently modifying.Of these two different kinds of modeling I prefer to use parametric modeling because of its ease of use as compared to surface modeling. While surface modeling is not hard it is harder than just changing some numbers but I feel that in exchange there is a lot more that you can do with surface modeling rather than parametric modeling because in parametric modeling you have got to keep around the same basic shape of the shape while in surface modeling you can almost completely change up the basic shape of the shape. However if you use things like editable poly you can use parametric modeling for more precise changes than using parametric modeling by itself.
.We have studied 2 kinds of modeling each with there own ups and downs .I prefer to have use of parametric modeling rather than surface modeling .They are very different in there uses and applications For this Blog Post I have watched The Super Mario Bros movie This movie was created in 1993 and is the first movie based of a Nintendo game.Super Mario Bros the game's plot is about Two plumbers from Brooklyn being teleport-ed to a place called the mushroom kingdom to save the Princess known as Princess Toadstool and her people from the evil king of the Koopa,Bowser the movie on the other hand has the plot of Two separate universes created by the impact of a meteorite upon the earth split into two parallel universes one in which dinosaurs lived on and evolved to become the dominate species and another in which the dinosaurs were wiped out and mammals evolved to become the dominate species as us Humans. Bowser sends two goons to kidnap Princess Daisy who can open the gate between the two worlds so he can merge his world with the human world so he can conquer both but traveling to his world from theirs to get Daisy back the Mario Bros stop him. These plotline differ quite a bit so I am gonna start with what they have in common most importantly they both feature a pair of plumbers that are travel from one world to another to fight an villian named Bowser however that was just about all that was the same the differences are drastic Including some of the main characters being replaced by completely Different characters ,Being Different From there In game counterparts, or Removed all together.Such as the replacement of Toadstool by Daisy. Bowser not being a large turtle dragon and instead being a humanoid T-Rex as well as Toad,Daisy and the Goombas being Descendants of dinosaurs rather than a mushroom, human, or another mushroom/chestnut.Also most of Bowsers troops are completely absent aside from the Goombas a single Spike and Iggy a member of the Koopa kids who are also humanoids and also Bowser's cousins in this movie. Although it has rather low scores and rating I genuinely enjoyed the movie as a whole and thought while it was almost completely different than the source material I thought it was good as a standalone movie.
For this weeks Game review I have decided to review Cory in the house for the DS. Now then what can be said other then "Masterpiece" The graphics are top notch for its era,The Sound track is intense and well composed it is a game beyond compare truly a work of arts that puts others like shadow of the colossus to shame. The story of the game follows Cory Baxter in his attempt to stop an evil toy maker from hypnotizing the residents of Washington dc with evil bobble heads.Truly great storytelling So good in fact it would make Shakespeare cry.All in all a work of art in every sense of the word
100000000/10 Story 100000000/10 Gameplay 100000000/10 Music Perfect/10 Game Well first of all I know that you won't get anywhere without experience so on your first job you should leave the whole experience part out.I suppose what the say about lying not getting you anywhere to be false.Your portfolio should showcase your best work so that possible employers can get a feel as to what you do here(Mine is empty because everything I do is garbage). When I revamped my portfolio I considered taking all my crap(Which was everything) and throwing it out(Although the new stuff won't be much better)I'll probably have some new stuff in sometime soon.
>Showcase you best work >Try and make yourself as good as possible on a resume >I need to do something decent for this portfolio........ >Why did someone so godawful at art pick an arts school? https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-04-30-your-game-portfolio-is-your-greatest-asset https://www.gamedesigning.org/career/game-design-portfolio/ http://gustavdahl.net/ |
