Currently in class I have been learning how to use scrolling modifiers to make the screen move rather than the character moving. This here is how games like flappy bird actually work as the bird is always staying in place horizontally but with scrolling the background instead moves horizontally making it seem like the bird is going forward this also helps with the pacing of the game as if the bird does not scroll and instead the background scrolls it does not give the player to change the pacing as they control the bird and instead of the background. In order to to put a scrolling background you would have to have a rigid-body attached to the object this is what you apply the scrolling modifier to.
.Scrolling moves objects at a steady pace across the screen .It helps with pacing in the game .It is a core mechanic in some games as well such as platformers https://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/topics/2d-game-creation/scrolling-repeating-backgrounds

This week, I learned how to create and utilize Collectable objects. In the making of the UFO Game in which we had to make collectible golden nuggets which the UFO would pick up and use as a score. That then would be used as a win condition once a certain score was met. It was usable thanks to rigid bodies and colliders which upon impact would delete the golden nugget from the game and add one point of score
.Can allow for the collection of any objects .Is what can allow score based games to work collectly While Loops and Do While Loops
I liked these the best compared to the rest of the loops because these loops offer more ways to be creative with 'em.The Normal loops would just endlessly carry on with no difference in it with while loops you can add set conditions under which the loop can change and allow you to have something change in the loop to possibly make the outcome different meaning you can do a bit more with while loops than you can with other types of loops >Bit better than loops at doing certain things >Has a bit more uses than the regular loops does For My topic I have decided on Operators I enjoyed working with operators because of how they made you think. Operators are really the first thing that require more than just knowledge of code to preform successfully on top of that I enjoyed how my code would not let me do everything bluntly and I had to find work arounds to things I could not do such as in my code I had to preform a division sequence however my code did not support division so instead I multiplied by a fraction.I thought Operators we really fun to use because it was not so as simple as copying the tutorials information and putting it in the code
.Operators we enjoyable .Most fun to use thus Far .Require outside knowledge .Had you improvising at certain points |
